That 800mhz AMD Athlon Processor is even weaker than PS2 itself
you need a system similar to or stronger than PS2 to run the emulator with games

At least a Dual core CPU (Athlon64 X 2 or Core 2 Duo) and a Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 (Required to use ZeroGS) or better (Geforce 6800 or better is Reccomended) is required to emulate the PS2 at a reasonable speed.

You also need a Processor that supports SSE2, which I'm sure your old and outdated Athlon doesn't support.

Even if you could magically get PCSX2 running using GSsoft or GSDX9 for the Graphics plugin in "Fixed Pipeline" mode, it would run slower than a snail in molasses, and undoubtedly be an extremely frustrating and un-enjoyable experience. It would be worse than playing a slideshow of your favorite PS2 game.

Even on Modern day High end systems (Core2Duo/Quad, Geforce 8800GTX, 2 gigs of ram) PCSX2 struggles to emulate a lot of games at an enjoyable or playable speed.

Your Best bet is to Play whatever game you want to play on your PS2 enjoyably at a playable speed with perfect compatibility, or you can spend a fortune Building a new PC or upgrading, which is not worth it solely for PCSX2, as it is not guaranteed that you will achieve playable speeds/compatibility on whatever games you try to play.

Note: Buying or playing on a PS2 is Cheaper and ensures Full Speed/Compatibility ($100 US), as opposed to the needed $1000+ US to upgrade your PC to play PCSX2 at a more enjoyable speed, and Speed/Compatibility/Playability is not Guaranteed.

Ok this is completly wrong.
You need a system that is at least 10 times more powerfull than ps2 to run pcsx2 with decent fps

ps2 specs:
CPU: 128-bit "Emotion Engine" clocked at 294 MHz
System Memory: 32 MB Direct Rambus or RDRAM

Comparing a console's specs with personal computer specs is totally wrong, especially with a console having an overly complex architecture so different than our pcs.Better read this
Why is PCSX2 slow?
