GSdx9 problem

Hi, whenever I try to use Direct3D to render my games I get a decent framerate....but I can't see anything(The game IS running though, I know I'm at the main menu due to sound). This problem does not occur when I use the software render, however, the fps is MUCH lower to the point of being unplayable. Does anyone know why I get a blank screen when using Direct3D to render?

Here are my settings

Pcsx 2R? Non VM
Pentium 4 2.40ghz HT
512mbs Ram
Ati 9200
GSdx9 gs plugin:
Windowed
Direct3D
Pixel Shader 1.4

EFP Polling CDVD driver 0.4.0

The game I'm trying is Guilty Gear XX Slash btw.

Oh, the intro isn't the problem, I have a patch that skips the intro so I can go staright to the menu, I have even started a match on software render using GSdx9 where I can actually see with very low fps. Its just when I try it with Direct3D(Which has a much higher fps) I can still hear everything like menu sounds, char select screen etc I just can't see.
