New User, new problems...

First off, hey everyone!

2nd, off... Having some problems. I've downloaded a few different versions for each plugin and have tried a few different combinations, but I have yet to get my pcsx2 to get me into a gama (the game I'm testing with is Dirge of Cerberus, US version).

Okay, so what I've got:
My computer is a jumble of stuff I built myself a few years back. I use a K8N4-E Deluxe ASUS mobo with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2.1 GHz processor, that I always run overclocked at 105-110%, and 1.5 GB RAM. The graphics card I'm using is an ASUS EN7600GT/2DHT/256M GeForce 7600GT 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16. So, you know, not the best, but it works great with many games.

My pcsx2 setup (atm) is using these plugins:
Graphics=> ZeroGS KOSMOS (non sse2) 0.96.0
Sound=>P.E.Op.S. SPU2 DSound Driver 1.6.0
Pad=>SSSPSX PAD Plugin 1.7.0
cdvdrom=>Linuzappz Iso CDVD drive 0.5.0

I don't care if I have to run games from Iso or from my dvd drive. I just want to use w/e setup will work best on my system. So far, using Dirge of Cerberus as Iso, I can make it to the point where square enix's logo is displayed, but at that point the emulator slows to about 2.4 FPS and is unresponsive. If I try to use any plugins I have found for running off the actual game disk in my drive, the emulator does not load at all after I do the file=>run cd/dvd.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

umm if you go to the compatibility list,PCSX2.net - Compatibility you'll see that FF7: DoC (U) is classified as intro, so you won't be able to play the game in this version

Okay, well thanks for pointing that out, but I still have a problem

I can't even get the intro to play... So, can anyone help me out with customizing settings? I just have to do alot of other things and was hoping to not have to run through the net to find every possible plugin there is and then try every possible combination until it works. There's gotta' be someone who knows, right?

The only thing you'll see is the Square-Enix logo,so if i was you i'd simply not bother and hope the next version fixes it somehow.
Also
1)No need for funky colors...
2)You're posting in the wrong section PCSX2 forum rules

Well, I can say thank you for the advice. I will wait and hope that a future update fixes my problem.

As far as funky colors go, it's just something I do (google zbrakkovich).

If posting about a problem I have in the section on plugins when I assume my problem is the plugins that I'm using, then I guess you should just ban me. When will I ever need to come here again if all I get is "Just wait and pray"?

Well i cant tell how you somehow deduced it was a plugin problem but in any case it isn't so this is the wrong section.You could just check the compatibility list beforehand...
This is how emulators are,if a game does not work with the current version you can do nothing but wait for a newer version that could fix the problem.Except if you can fix it yourself using the source,so if you can be my guest.

Via the link supplied me about the compatability list for this emulator I found that the intro is playable on the emu. I cannot even view this. The reason I thought it may be a plugin problem is because, as I stated before, when I run the emu with plugins for the dvd drive, the emulator does not load any type of rendered graphics window. When I run using a plugin for Iso and an Iso image, of course, the render window opens and runs at 54 FPS until the Square Enix logo is displayed, at which point the program crashes with a final FPS at 2.4.

The cmd prompt looking window that displays all the info the emu is processing displays an error concerning a patch. I'll grab a screen shot the next time I'm at my home PC.
