Talking PEOpS SPU2 - FFXdemo.

Final Fantasy X Demo [SCED 50642] - (Came with FF6 (PSOne))

Testing under:

PCSX2 0.7 Beta
GSsoft 0.8 Beta
PEOpS SPU2 1.1

FFXdemo goes ingame when choosing the Besaid option, and in previous betas and releases you could see Besaid (though with LOTS of glitches) and walk around, atm this is broken, but sound output works better than it used to.

Below are 2 MP3's - One of the FFXdemo menu music (note button press at end), and the other of Besaid Island with the birds tweeting in the background

Besaid Island

As I said no images, due to the bug in the current beta, this test was about sound, for shots look up "FFX demo" in the forum search function

Cooliscool: GSdx doesn't support the "Lense Flare Draw Back" that FFX / FFXdemo uses so can't go ingame.

The Demo is PAL, afaik it was only ever released in PAL.

Bit pointless everyone getting excited, as the first option leads to a video, which can't be skipped, so thus can't be played atm. The second option goes in-game, but you can only walk around a VERY small area before triggering a video before you fight Kimahri, so it's good for beta testers, but not really worth too great an excitement, as it's done this since the 0.6 release.

is video emulating really so hard? i thought 3d is harder for emulator than videos... or it looks like videos aren't the hard part for ePSXe :/

Geez... this has been convered to death, Neo-Zacar. The emulator doesn't support videos yet, I forget exactly why... and by the way emulating Ps2 is hard in everyway.
