Ps2sP goes Open Source

After much debate, and thought to this issue the Ps2sP team have decided to open our sources, why you ask well because currently there are three devs, Zenogais, Elly and myself and all of us don't have alot of time on our hands at the moment so the plugin has stalled also a lot of things helped decided this factor other than no time such as the fact there are alot of talented programmers on NGEMU and I'm sure alot of you are interested in working on or seeing how a sound plugin works you can find all sources at the following website if you change anything in the plugin pm, Elly, Zenogais or myself with the following pm title "Ps2sP source update" (You will be given full credit for what you have added to the plugin) So that one of us can upload the updated sources, until we can implement something that will allow you to upload the sources yourself to the website.

URL to the sources

ps2sp.ngemu.com/downloads/ps2sp.rar This is the URL for the DLL's you will need

ps2sp.ngemu.com/downloads/ps2sp-source.rar This is the URL for the sources.

Enjoy and good luck

I also want to add that the latest source is still WIP and doesnt produce sounds due to the fact that mixing isnt fully implemented yet. Among the uncompleted sources is a gui debugger which I initially designed and wrote its structure , reverbs, and volume control ( havent been coded yet ).

Yours,
-Elly

Ohhh I forgot to add in my posts, you will need MSVC 7 .net to compile the sources as well as the Fmod dll and libs. you can grab these at www.fmod.org

not 7.1 (2003)? cos im sure thats what zenogais uses :/

well if it is, for those who only have 7 .net (2002) the only thing you need to do is edit the vcproj file in notepad, youll see 7.10 near the top, just change it to 7.00 and it should work fine when youve saved it, thats what ive been doing anyway ;p

Yes, we used Visual .NET 2003 for this one, but if you can get it to load on 2002, then more power to you

Hi - I have one question:
Why pcsx 2 v0.6 isn`t showing this plugin in configuration, i have unpacked it properly and replaced and copied it into pcsx2/plugins folder. I have copied all three of these plugins (0.4, 0.4Beta and 0.4 sound) and no one has been showing in pcsx 2 config.
I have also installed soundcard plugins and dx9.0b.
If anyone knows why please tell me.
Sorry for bothering and thanks for any reply.

ps.
Good work.

Hmm, I think it's because Zenogais used the newer plugin interfaces, in the compile that produced the sound I'm sure he'll fix it. also yes its 2003 i was in a bit of a hurry when i typed it.

its because the version number in the ps2defs.h (or something like that) has been increased, you need to put it down to 2? i think and recompile it.

try looking at readme.txt and you might try unzipping these to the PCSX2 folder:

ps2sp.ngemu.com/downloads/libs.rar
