GS error

its the only problem i got and i dont see a tut for this emulator. I looked at the main sites faq and it said something about pixel shader 2. This video card is a bit old (gforce4) but it has enough of an update to support it.

Im running on vista with directx 10 running the emu as winxp sp2 + admin.
Still i get the GS error with ever graphics plugin i use. Can anyone help me fix this?

Geforce 4 dosesn't support ****. And a cpu in a rig that old couldn't run pcsx2 fine anyway.

Your computer is way too old.

Celeron = crap
Celeron D = Netburst architecture = even more crap

You couldn't even run Disgaea fine on that cpu, and thats probably the least cpu extensive game for pcsx2.

The amount of RAM should not affect the emulator performance to an observable degree.

GSdx9 has older versions that do not require PS 2.0 to run.
See this KB article, and download the appropriate version via The Official PCSX2 Archive, A GeneralEmu Exclusive.

Well maybe your onboard video supports Pixelshader 2, while your Geforce 4 doesn't.

I'm guessing its a Geforce 4 MX, which would make it even worse (gf4mx doesn't have PS at all, its a gf2 at higher clockrates).

More RAM won't really make it lag free when it runs at 20fps. Your cpu is just too slow. Especially for pcsx2, which is slow for many games even on an overclocked e8400.

CPU is fine as its able to run things such as halo need for speed games, games that need good cpu to run and they run smoother on my pc then my actual consoles. But it boots up and its making my pc run at 97% ram.

and is there anyway i can get older GS plugins w/o the pixel shader? The great graphics dont matter to me that much.

edit: Apon downloading other graphics versions they wont show up in the graphics list in the configuration. Do i need an older version of the emulator?

LOLHero: PCSX2's system requirements are significantly higher than those of PS2 games ported to the PC, as they were rewritten to run on the PC. PS2 games are not designed to run on PCs, shockingly.

GeominorAI provided you a link to the PCSX2 archive, along with a plugin name. Don't know what more you want.
