Metal Gear Solid 2 or 3

Is it possible to get these games working for the emulator? With any plugins? I looked at the compatibility list and it said no, but I'm not sure whether plugins can change this.

If it says no, than you cant, it is a pcsx2 problem, and not a gsplugin problem

The compatability list from what I've checked out hasn't been updated in about 5 or 6 months.

Actually metal gear sold 2 snake eater and substance for the most part work, but I haven't tried playing it the entire way through as the gs plugins haven't had much optimization for this game and even on my system the game sometimes plays at 15fps.

MGS3 goes aprox 45fps on my system but freezes part way through.

I just bought Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and tried it on PCSX2.

Sometimes it freezes on the movies, so I need to press start whenever a movie plays. Also when you select a new game the opening movie plays, then the voice communication thing comes up and it freezes.

It appears this game is not fully compatible with PCSX2 yet.

I don't quite understand why you want to play MGS2 via emulator on PC when there is PC version of the game, which is perfectly playable and looks excellent.

As for MGS3 it's a different story, sadly but its current status is only "ingame", it can't be fully played from start to finish with any set of plugins.

its ingame, at least MGS3, not playable because of a bug in the collision detection of the terrain mesh.
And its also unplayable slooooooow.

MGS2 on PC is pretty much unplayable with a decent comp :\ It's too new or something -_-. Remember it worked flawlessly back with 9800pro. But with 7800GT the GFX are totally borked.

I've been having problems with these games too.

My xbox is broken so cant play on the xbox version of mgs2

and the 360 doesnt back support it, anyway back to why im posting.

I noticed the main user patch thread says not the request a patch making, so i noticed the FAQ listing a link to Nachbrenner's Site for making Patches but all i get is a 404 error. Anyone know where its gone or anything similar. I can just about get by coding with abit or a guide so i'd like to try and make an MGS2 patch.
