The Book and other stories:
Tears of Fantasy - An Online Book... by ME!
MetaLife, Inc. (intro)
SubGaea (intro)
Crow Blade (intro for now)
Memories - Prayer from the fallen hearts.

My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho.
For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

Hello

I am quite new here but I did manage to get mine up and running without opening another "noob" thread! Well, until now I guess. But it's not realy a "how do I" question, I was just wondering what does "buffers" do? I notice when I set the buffer to too large, the delay becomes longer too. If it's too small, it sound scrachy. Can you tell me what is the optimal setting?

PS: out of all the plugin I used, yours is the best, keep up the good work!

"Buffers" are a temporary storage area for sound samples. They are important for GiGaHeRz's plugin to function.

The optimal setting is what works best with your sound card. Try increasing and decreasing the buffer size until you notice as little scratchiness and delays as you can.

Adding to what modlord said: with a decent sound card, in XP you could go really low (maybe as low as 256 samples) if the emulator had enough spare time that the spu2 is always readey to send.

In Vista the sound drivers seem to fetch data in 4kb blocks, so the lowest you can set is 1024 (1024 16bit stereo samples = 4kb).

When Playing Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne On My System, Your Plugin Sounds The Best. No Clicks, No Pops, But There Is Only One Problem... Its Not Synced Correctly. I Donu Why It Does This But For Some Reason Zero's Plugin Makes The Sync Problem Go Away, But That Plugin Doesn't Sound So Good.

The "looping" isn't because of threads. In fact my spu2 plugin doesn't use threading because of those synchronization problems. Audio looking can come from imperfect timings in the emu (not spu2), or from low speeds ( if it's < 100%, it will loop).

There answered.
Btw: I haven't been coding spu2ghz lately, so sorry ppl but don't expect any new version anytime soon
Okay I lied. I didn't expect myself to get to coding the next day. Here's 1.8, which seems to work great together with the latest SVN buidls of pcsx2.

As always: bug reports are welcome, demands are not.

EDIT: I will upload to sourceforge tomorrow. It's 6:45am and I haven't slept yet.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2

Opening Movie's sound/music plays a little bit then silence. The process repeats until the end of the movie. Running the game at a constant 60fps.

hmmm... does that game work better with other sound plugins? could be something else, but if it works in other plugins then I'll take a look at that game.

Hi,GiGaHeRz!Thank you for your great job.
But I find that Samurai Warriors 2 and Musou Orochi work better with P.E.OPS SPU2 1.9.0 (rev.356) ...

Thanks! but... if it works better with peops, can you at least explain what's wrong with mine, so I can take a look at it? :/

Sorry, missed your post. Always late? check your buffer sizes, if you have consistent speeds (most time at 100%), then I would recommend setting the buffers to 5 of 1024 samples (size=1024, number=3). This should remove most of the lag.

If you still feel it's "late" it might just be you are too sensitive to sound delays, which I can't solve.

Sometimes ,In Samurai Warriors 2 and Musou Orochi the characters will repeat one word in a sentense .e.g. the npc will say 'i am am am am ...'instead of 'i am tom'...
