I've tried to run Gran Turismo 3 with your plugin.
With FMOD after logo SONY CIE emu freezes.
With Asio and Wave emu crashing at the start. Soon will test with other my games.

Dante1717mx, try to stay with FMOD for now.
The other output modules cause more problems atm.

!!!ZeroSPU2 is now not the only sound plugin to get past the intros in some games (I call that sound hang up errors)!!!
I spoke to soon. Area 51 doesn't boot and show the intro screen like it does in ZeroSPU2.

1.3 and 1.2 cause Lumines to just hang before anything. 1.0 worked fine, whatever you fixed broke other things. Look forward to other updates. ;P

This is with every combinations of settings I can try.

Kingdom Hearts 2 (NTSC US) has always worked in here... it's usually one of the first games I try after changing something.

My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho.
For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

New in v1.4:
[-] completely removed the remains of the "async mixer" mode. It was meaningless without threading, and didn't work.
[*] Fixed the waveOut output module.
[*] Fixed a bug where the ASIO output system was using the defaulf ASIO device sample rate,
regardless of the config value.
[*] Changed the min. buffer size allowed in the config dialog to 512 isntead of 2400.
NOTE 1: Sizes too small can increase the CPU usage and might cause audio problems.
NOTE 2: FMOD and waveOut have this limit increased to 2048.
[*] Changed some code handling voice looping. I don't know if it will fix or break anything.
[+] Added partial support for log levels to the register logging system, to remove the basic
channel attributes from the log files (makes logs more readable and less bloated).
[+] Added experimental XAudio2 output module. Seems to sound well.
[+] Added a hidden option to change the AutoDMA sample rate for each core.
Useful only in some games where the FMVs hang.
[+] Added a check to the Effects processor to avoid crashes when the effects start address is
after the effects end address.
[+] Added /delayload:fmod.dll switch to the linker, so the fmod dll is only needed while
using the fmod output module.

Sorry didn't see this post.
The plugin should NOT require SSE2, as I don't have any sse2 code, and while I did enable SSE2 optimizations in the compiler, it would make the plugin crash or stop with an error.

Does the emulator console window show any error message about spu2ghz.dll?

EDIT: I have added a build done without /arch:SSE2, if that works for you, I'll keep building without SSE2.

same thing with games/bios not booting, here's the log and a pic of what the console shows last when it freezes if it helps

version 1.0 works fine, is only after it that it stopped freezing/not booting some games

edit:
SPU2log.txt is booting the bios
SPU2log booting ffx-2.txt is well trying to boot ffx-2 which is the only game i had at hand :P

still I try with pcsx 0.9.4 and 0.9.5 svn 239 with same results

Yo!

tried it with 239 and didn't run ffxii but ran with 265.
don't know if this has to do with your plugin but I found a later version of fmod.dll and used that and it played sound but when I went to the menu the emulator chrashed playing ffxii.

Here:
Newer fmod.dll? I thought I was using the last version of fmod 3 but it seems I wasn't. I went to the fmod site and downloaded the "Final" version of fmod 3, I'll see how's it.

Depending on my mood, I might add a 'raw' DSound output module later. If I do, it would replace the FMOD one, as I only use it as a wrapper for DSound.

GiGaHeRz, all plugins that have SSE2 code inside automatically will show in the plugins list (configuration window menu). Only ZeroGS have your 03 plugins in the graphics list.

I did download your new beta 4 and beta 4 nosse2. If beta 4 in plugins... nothing But if beta 4 NoSSE2 is used... GREAT Config>SPU Plugins list show perfectly!!!

Im doing a lot of tests because fmod AND WAVE repeat a looong buffer. ASIO + XAudio2 generate errors:

ASIO
Error opening SPU Plugin

XAudio2
Failed Xadio2 engine 0X80040154

Thank you for do NOSSE2 version, ty

OPODER!!!

*Note: 2 errors appear when u do run dvd game, not when u confgure plugin.
