27/12/2007 - v0.1.2
[*] Fixed the speed limit dialog setting (it wasn't being handled correctly).
[*] Changed the way I handle AutoDMA transfers:
For some reason the data for core 1 was being replaced with 0s,
so I added a separate temporary buffer to store the data chunks.
This fixes many FMVs with stuttering audio.
[-] Commented out some lines that were changing the ATTR register.
I don't know if this will break anything, but none of the games I tried worked worse.
[-] Removed a BAD hack that was breaking thigns instead of fixing.
[/code]
CiticenB: the FPS unstability is because the limiting relies on AUDIO speeds, not video.
Sound should be ok tho...

The Book and other stories:
Tears of Fantasy - An Online Book... by ME!
MetaLife, Inc. (intro)
SubGaea (intro)
Crow Blade (intro for now)
Memories - Prayer from the fallen hearts.

My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho.
For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

Lumines - Actually plays the music through the entire stage without quitting. No other plugin does this yet, no other plugin even plays the music in it after the second or so level. I am impressed.

I also believe the music should be a little bit higher, while the actual gameplay sound is a bit quieter. On this, once you get going the sound jumbles up quite a bit because of the overlapping sounds at the same volume level and begins to distort and crackle out.

EDIT: The latest version (1.2) is 1.1 in the file, and seems to have prevented some games from even starting.

for some reason my emu doesn't detect the 1.2 version and it still reads the 1.1 version, what is the problem?

Eh, he must've been tired when doing it and clicked the wrong one to upload. Wait until he wakes up and he will put the right one up.

I think people should try pcsx2 svn rev 265+ too if they know how to build it

"Author: gigaherz
Log Message:

Added an optional function to the spu2 plugin interface so I can read the IOP cycles var from spu2.
I use it to improve the sync between the emu and the spu2 by calculating the elapsed time also on register accesses."

So it might sound better with svn build.

Haven't got time to test it yet but keep up the good work!

I just forgot to change the version number, the code is newer.

EDIT: (stupid doublepost merging system)

b1.3 Changes:
[*] Fixed the sync in pre-svn265 pcsx2 builds. Might help with some games.

When I added the improved sync code, I "broke" the code for the case when the emulator doesn't have support for it. This might have broken compatibility with some games, I don't know for sure.

Using the latest PCSX2 beta and spu2ghz beta 1.3 i get the following:

Ar Tonelico : Buggy voiceovers completely gone, some quirks but game is fine now
Final Fantasy X : Campfire intro still loops some samples but got better. Voices are fine.
Grandia3 : All randomn disturbing noise is gone, some quirks left but much better now
Xenosaga : While generally fine, sound is kinda "slow", like fps was 55 instead of 60 ^^

You've improved the plugin a lot since the earlier versions. Thanks for the hard work

FF12 works just fine in here. At least I can start the game, play some minutes of intro video (it randomly crashes the emu at some point), go into a new game, and play some minutes of new game well. Haven't tried more.

FFX does seem to die after the new game intro. It has happened for some weeks, but sometimes, or depending on the settings, it worked, so I didn't worry too much about it. I'll see if I find the cause.

About the bios, I will look into it. I don't usually care about the BIOS booting, but I don't like to know something is broken, and not fix it.

I don't have the other games so I can't test them yet, I'll see if I can get them.

That's because it would boot the bios, and it's broken, as I just said above.

EDIT: I just fixed BIOS booting, the experimental reset handling was taking too long. Next release will have BIOS working again.
