And it is indeed possible to bring a 4400 X2 to 2.9ghz if you have a good OC' Mainboard and a good cooler (not stock of course ^^)
even my old 3800 X2 runs at 2.5ghz very well on an !ASROCK! 939dual mainboard ^^

i don't know, i heard you also need a ASM compiler, and the express editions doesn't have one.

there is NO gsdx 1.8
everything that claims to be 1.8 is just a compile from the svn repository, that is NOT official at all (well, if it doesnt include a virus too). if you cannot compile gsdx from the svn code, just keep with 1.7 (1.8 doesnt miraculously fix issues just because of "the higher version number")

if you're running vista, try dx10. if running xp, just stick to dx9.

I had very nice frame rate increases after installing Vista and running it with the DX10 version :P

Specially in FFXII and Persona 3 =)

hi guys I'm new here.

I've got a problem with this plugin. I used the zero one so far but this GSDX looks nicer at a better or at least the same speed so I want to use it. BUT I've got two graphic bugs. I expect the problem to be solved already somehwere in this thread but to scroll through 67 pages is a little bit to much, so I hope someone can help me.

for one it's the text which looks odd (see pic) and then I've got some issues with the rest of the graphics you can see it on the screenshot next to the map. this happens quite a lot. parts of the word are getting transparent or odd looking.

I hope the screenshots are enough because the .gs files are too big to upload them here.

hope you guys can help

my specs btw.

What's wrong with how it looks? From the pics, everything seems to be just fine. Maybe, you are not used to seeing the graphics that way.

Small error in texture display on the left pic and palletized words & numbers on the right pic.

Normal, and as far as I know there is no fix for this yet...then again it doesn't really hinder the gameplay experience.
(Especially since that texture error is pretty rare in FFX)

@big_eye:
Hmm have u tried enabling 'log z' in GSDX config? And which renderer r u using - DX9 or 10? DX10 renderer tends to show stripes all over the terrain in FF X:P <but different kind of stripes:P>.

Text looks like this because of upscalled internal resolution. That's normal.

There is no DX10 on windows XP

If you want to use it, you gotta use Windows Vista and have a DX10 capable Graphic cards.

Hi ppl, I'm playing Twinkle Star Sprites La Petite Princesse (the game is beutiful ) but there is a bug or something like that on some scenarios, its like the background "paint" all of the rest of the screen, I've got a screen showing this.

Im using latest GSDX configured like the pic shows.

If there is a way to improve this situation, it will be nice.

Thx in advance.
