I already change the interlace (in screenshot on titlebar), I mean it works better with 0.1.9 and never the same with later version. And FF X-2 runs just great and this is only movies issue.

Disgaea 2's intro movie plays but between every frame it inserts a black frame for about a fraction of a second / kinda flashes a black frame. Interlacing doesn't solve it. Didn't encounter this problem before this version.

Current settings: windowed resolution, D3D9 Hardware, PS3.0, NLOOP, Texture Filtering, Logarithmic Z, FBA

GeForce 7900GS (laptop) 256 MB
Core Duo 2.0GHz
2 GB Ram

Just a quick note, I could squeeze about 10% more fps out of the sw renderer by reusing the new ideas of the psx renderer. Still nowhere enough for SoTC... Anyone has a nehalem yet?

Probably not worth thinking about Nehalem, since everybody who bought Core 2s are butthurt over the socket change. (that, and Core i7s cost way too much right now)

I wouldn't bother yet, wait till Sandy Bridge (or at least Westmere), Socket B may become more commonplace (and cheaper) by that time.

Hey Gabest, welcome back!

Heh, Core i7 or Nehalem is for people with money to burn xD. Any thought or plan for the SSE 4.2 instruction set?

600$ bare minimum mobo + cpu for first-generation hardware is not burning money, it's idiocy.

I disagree. Do you expect the newest and latest hardwares technology to be cheap? Have you ever seen the newest car or HD LCD tv cheaper then the older version/ones?

The enthusiasts (or anyone has the money) are the usually the first one to adapt the newest or latest technology.

Tell that to all the people who payed the full original price for x hardware technology when it came out, only for the prices to be halved a month later - not to mention all the technical issues plaguing first gen hardware (first revision gigabyte x58 mobo refuses to work more often than not).

That's is not always the case and it's not like it's not fixable through update or later revision. Technology's is always pacing itself so expect to see better revision/hardware within the same product.

Yes, another revision that you have to buy, because your first gen hella overpriced version is not working properly or at all.

You see where I'm getting at?

Well,it's true that the price will drop in a month-two-three,and it is true that the products out now (mobo) can be fixed with new BIOS,but you can't do that with a processor....So,wait a bit longer,it's not even so good,better get C2Q QX9850...it's as fast as hell..

The i7 has more cache and much faster memory access, that could help with large textures. As I noticed psx emulation (compared to ps2) is faster mostly because the buffers have smaller memory footprint and there is not even a z buffer. Even if I could optimize the pixel processing code down to 1 instruction the memory access latency would still be there.

tuanming: sse 4.2 is about strings and encryption, not useful for multimedia.

i must say gabest,you're awesome...

@topic - I need help.since I download-ed o.1.11 fraps won't work in PCSX2...is it a plugin problem,or software problem...

@gabest again - I am just wondering - is 0.1.11 optimized for Vista/DX10,because it works slower with Budokai3/Infinite world on XP than GSDX 0.1.6 (As I noticed,0.1.6 is the best Budokai 3 plugin)...also - what is your configuration gabest?

@topic again - still,I think all should wait for new processors,and mobo's..
