I miss a FPS count! Like from the old versions of the Gsdx plugin!

do you use the correct plugin for your CPU?

What Graphic card do you have?
is the driver up2date?
does DX9 Hardware work?
are you really sure all directX dlls are installed? (try running the latest dxwebsetup again)

Fraps is buggy, uses a lot of memory, and not free.

Ati Tray Tools is a good alternative but it only works with Radeon cards, and you the experimental betas from the forum if you want fps reading under dx10 mode.

it is free, at least for screenshot capturing and FPS displaying.
and it doesn't use much memory, if you got at least 1GB than its ok.
And PCSX2 takes less memory than current PC Games, so where is the problem?

its not buggy, it only measures the output framerate from directX,
the internal game framerate can be different and only measurable by gsdx or PCSX2.

OK, I have a problem with GSdx 0.1.9. I'm using DX9. The screen flickers and the game doesn't run smooth but teary. Tried the SSE2 one and I have updated DirectX and my Video Card Driver. With the previous versions everything's fine.
I remember that some time ago I tried a DX10 for XP(although they say there's no such thing, of course) but when I click "Run" nothing happens.
edit: Oh, found what's been causing the flickering. I play the games in Frame Skip! But the strange thing is that the previous version of the plugin don't give me flickers when using Frame Skip.(NOT the VU Frame Skip!)

It used 40-50mb last time I used it, for the single purpose of fps display thats way too much. And it didnt work along with Aero correctly.

IF you have 1GB of RAM:
pcsx2 uses 300MB max and let's say you have billions of background processes, that makes 450MB more so in total: 750MB . i don't see how 50MB are going to be annoying. you would still have 200MB free. and pcsx2 isn't much demanding on memory, just have 300MB free and you're done. also everything that has to do with DirectX uses more memory than standard apps.

That card doesn't support DX10 so of course you'll have the message "ERROR OPENING GS PLUGIN".Also Naruto games have a lot of problems with freezing/crashing the emu.If you want to play those games use pcsx2 0.9.2 but don't expect miracles and you'll have lower speed.

Overall that video card is really week for pcsx2 and I kinda doubt that your CPU will be something extreme

i noticed some texture problems with gundam battle assault 3 and latest gdx svn and "1.9 official".

The video is all mixed up in gundam battle assault and there is some texture flashing in the game.

Gt4 with cottonvibes build has some flashing texture appearing in the screen sometimes

Full metal alchemist 2 has blu border on charcater instead of black ones.

Question: does the dx10 version of the plugin really give you more fps? If so please give an example you faced.

For example Xenosaga 1:
DX9 20-40 fps, DX10 60+fps

quick question .... when i go to CPU CONFIG ... it says,

features: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3

but when i put the SS3 plugin it says 3.1 is not supported by CPU ...

can someone please explain why i am not able to use SSE3 if it says that it's available in features ?

The game i am trying to play is "SSX" ...
btw, great forum & great ps2 emu , keep up the good work guys!

Because it's SSSE3 not SSE3

Oh ... I see ....

What is the difference between SSSE3 and SSE2 ? I am confused because it says it's available in the cpu config.

I have a Pentium D Duo Core 2.8 Ghz Proccesor if that helps to answer my question....
