![]() Anyway it seems requesting builds is not allowed, so can you quickly explain the compiler needed with link please. If it requires a customized compiler please upload it. Last edited by Y~K; August 22nd, 2008 at 17:47.. |

lol.... BAMMM in your face!!! ![]() anw the build that rama2 made is private to him (along with the modified sources) and i don't think he'll just simply give it to you. So please wait for the next pcsx2 version.

after a little search it seems the windows compiler is visual studio and that mingw is not supported =/ well I give up on compiling it then Like most people using PCSX2 (I'd say over 99%) I haven't dumped my BIOS image. So what? I doubt a kid like you even understand what dumping means anyway. Quote:

actually it is never a violation of the terms of use to make changes to an open source project. It is a violation of the terms to distribute it as an executable without making the source code available upon request to the people you are distributing it to. And that is assuming you have an open source license that specifies that, like the GPL. 1. You can make changes to it, and keep them to yourself, and refuse to share. 2. You can sell / give copies of it, changed or not, as long as you make available the source code of what you sell to the people whom you sell it / give it to under the same original license (someone can buy it from you, and then legally put it and the source up for everyone to download for free). etc. But he is not violating the license if he refuses to give YOU the source code, unless he gave YOU an executable compiled from said code. |

Advice to khestoi2: try using Pixel Shader 3.0? I guess DirectX 10 is out of the question for you, but... just try PS 3.0. If you are running with PS 3.0, then try PS 2.0.

Every single site, ever, offers both of those as separate downloads. You must make it available, but a person may opt out of receiving the source codes. That being said,my point stands that no one is obligated to give a random stranger their code. It has to be someone you provided a compiled program to. If you distribute via X, you can choose to make those two seperate, as long as you offer (at no extra charge) the source code via X as well to anyone buying / receiving the compiled product from you. if that was the case, then someone can just take PCSX2, and change 1 part of the source-code and sell the compiled build to people, as long as they provide the source-code that they changed.

OSDisc.com - Buy Linux CDs and DVDs - New releases. Low prices. look there, or google "buy linux"... it is perfectly legal for you to sell it to people. There is nothing stopping you from packaging PCSX2, modified or not, on a CD and selling it to someone... as long as you either include the source, or offer it on a seperate disk for free to your customers. As long as you don't claim to own it's copyright, and include the GPL license in there. Most people are not going to buy it from you when they can download it online for free. But some people refuse to connected to the internet (the government is watching), you might even include a DVD guide of dumping your own bios.... If you DO make a major modification... sooner or later someone will buy it from you, demand the source code, and post it as a patch into the PCSX2 project in here... So really, you should be selling it for a high price. |
