If I use "\\.\D:", which is my dvd-rw, open works, but every ioctl, readfile, getfilesize, ... anything I try on the device, fails. explorer can browse the dvd jsut fine, isobuster can show me sectors, imgburn can rip it... but my plugin, trying to use raw reading + ioctl (for DVD_READ_STRUCTURE), fails. EDIT: Now I'm confused. I compiled your plugin set to \\.\D: isntead of H:, and it worked. Meaning your way of doing it works, but mine doesn't... for some strange reason.

For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command. Last edited by GiGaHeRz; August 12th, 2008 at 23:53.. |

GetFileSize(Ex) was the only one that did not work for me, but there is a ioctl replacement to get the size. Most of the dvd ioctl functions need a session id, did you start a session? Not that those functions are any use, mostly related to dvd video key exchange.

No I did not start any session, and it used to work fine, and it works fine with daemon tools. It's something in the driver which seems to be rejecting access the way I do it... :/ I'll keep checking the differences in access "methods" between your code and mine, till I figure out what is it we do different, and makes yours work, but not mine. :P

I'd still try starting a session, look at the documentation of IOCTL_DVD_START/END_SESSION, it's not very hard, and you just have to pass the returned session id to the other calls, instead of 0 you use now. If the session does not want to start, end it and retry.

Well, I have a crush with GSdx 0.1.9 (and 0.1.4) in Rogue Galaxy, chapter 4. Enemy shadowman cause pcsx2 0.94 (and svn 377) to crush, trying diffecent config, SSE2-4, shaders model etc, but stil crush. I check it with ZeroGS, there was no crush. It seems, that something within shadowman model or texture made game crush, because I could not turn camera on him. Maybe there is something more I should try? I use WinXP with Core 2 E8400, 3 Gb of memory, ATI 4870 and DX9.0c. |

gabest can you make an drop down box where we can choose which sse too choose from, and the default is always 'auto' which automatically chooses which sse you have and executes.. ? just an idea ... because now you have 3 plugins and each one presents a difrent sse... instead of that we could have one. still this is just an idea, and for an end user this is alot easyer tho its your choice.

Please Godwin can you point me where to find the rules thats say I cant give link of compile svn? Ive checked a bit around and the only thing I have found is that there is no support for pcsx2 svn and no request for svn. The fact im giving a compile of the latest SVN with no support doesnt break any rule. ( I think) SVN is open source, so Its kinda free of use. I'm merly offering a compiled verion with no support. Correct me if im wrong. Until you answer me, Ill remove the pcsx2 compiled svn on my site.I dont want to be in conflict with any mod or admin here.

Okay, found a bug with gsdx in FFXII USA. Game: Final Fantasy XII - USA CRC: 0779FBDB Problem: When in the "Barheim Passage", the area right after the prisoner/judge scene, the graphics are all messed up. But only in that area. It appears to be the "light" that is shining through the upper windows in this dungeon but are getting graphically messed up. Like a bad shader. GSdx Dx9 ,10, shader 2.0 and 3.0 all do it. Tried both public and beta releases of pscx2. Zero graphic plugin just does not work for me in FFXII, or if it loads its even worse than GSdx. To make things more strange, if I talk to the merchant in this area the graphics clear up instantly. But as soon as I'm done talking to him it goes back to ugly. The files required are here: Index of /pcsx2 gsdx_20080813120820.gs gsdx_20080813120820.jpg pcsx2 2008-08-13 12-08-33-01 - FFXII - 0779FBDB.avi Mcd002.ps2 SVN BUILD SS - 0779FBDB.008 0.94 BUILD SS - 0779FBDB.009 Code:
