Yea, it's been bugging me for a while, just couldn't check it yet. Is 59.94 fps really better in sync with the audio? Just because no one complained yet.

Anyways it's a bug in FFX, with the latest version of GSdx.
What happens is that sometimes during battles or certain scenes characters have a shadow or something on them... like a transparent double image of themselves. I remember he posted a screenshot and I will too if needed, unless it's a known bug.
Thanks in advance!
Not considered as a bug currently, unless pcsx2 tricks me that's the way it should be.

Hi Fellas! I'm new here.
I have a problem with the xpad plugin. Seems like it detects my xbox 360 controller coz all the buttons work perfectly in Final Fantasy X but unfortunately vibration feedback is not activated.
And yes, I did activate it in the Final Fantasy X menu ;-)
thank you in advance for your help

edit: ohhh and it seems like my pcsx 2 tends to crash before starting with the new 1.8 gsdx version. It worked fine with 1.7. Any solution?

harleking:
did you remember to set BOTH pad plugins to xpad?
if not, then it sometimes causes problems.

and the crash you're getting is because you don't have the latest Direct X,
the link is in Gabest's signature in the post above yours

Ok got the problem with gsdx 0.1.8 to work, thanks for that :-)
But anyway I can't feel the rumble in my game.
Maybe it's a problem that nothing happens when I click on configure or is that normal?

i havn't tried xpad, but i think it automatically configures everything for you.

i think you should try another game, and see if rumble works in that other game.
off the top of my head, i know that you can check Vibration in Persona 3 by going to the options menu and turning Vibration on/off.

If you mean limiting fps to that value instead of 60 then yes.
I've been doing some debugging with spu2ghz and its ability to show
the current buffer usage.
At 60 fps the buffer slowly but constantly fills, leading to an overflow if we
didn't stretch it.
At 59.94fps the buffer hovers around the same usage all the time.

I've made 79 videos with pcsx2, including 6 with GSdx (the other with zeroGS on Linux), so I think I'm in a position to assure you that, yes, if you use 60 fps, the sound goes out of sync if you use zeroSPU for the sound. It loses exactly 1 frame per 1000. In a one-minute video, the difference is negligible, but in a ten-minute video, the sound might be seconds out of sync. Notice that this is important only for capturing. During regular play, everything will sync itself nicely on its own.

In regard to the SvrR bug, it's a minor thing, so don't fret. I'll try to check it out myself and I'll tell you if I find anything.

In any case, can anyone with Vista check if the bug is also on the DX10 version? If you don't have the game, just download the snap.7z I posted earlier and do the whole "rundll32 gsdx.dll,GSReplay <.gs file>" thing with it to see if the sign shows or not.

Update the DirectX run-time libraries. The link is on the first post of this thread.

Yeah, sorry. I misremembered what you told me. I thought you said that it might work on DX10, but you said that it did work. But did it work perfectly or just with less noise?

UPDATE: Yeah, rama2 was right. It's a z problem. I located the polygon that draws the sign. At GSRendererHW9:: Draw, m_count is 12 and the polygon is a triangle strip. The attached png shows the values for m_vertices (.p and .t) from 0 to 11.

If I understand all that data correctly, it draws two rectangles, one on top of the other. The first one is the correct one. (If I change m_count to 6, all the signs are drawn correctly). The question is what the hell does the other rectangle do? Notice the .t values. The first 6 use the texture correctly, the rest use the same texel over and over.

gsdx 0.1.9 svn 833 introduced brand new bugs on tales of abyss and it's now unplayable.

DX10: the start menu is back, but "blinking". Still the ghost effect, no change.
DX9: the same as DX10, plus as soon as the intro shows up, fps drops to 9~10 fps. (going ingame doesnt help, same fps)

I already tried everything on DX9, with no luck. Something got broked.

Going back to 831 return normal fps (50+), but no start menu. And ghost effect remains in all of them (833, 831, 830, 829..., 0.1.8)

The 1 bit alpha output from pixel shader in 16-bit mode was rounded down to 0x7f instead of 0x80 and failed the alpha test later, svr2k8 was also fixed.

I'm not really sure that's GSdx problem but from some time now(maybe from 82x)my mouse pointer can't exit the game window.I have to minimize or press Esc=>Run=>Execute to be able to exit the game window(Alt+Tab don't work,my mouse pointer is still locked in where the game windows is). This happens on pcsx2 377,384 and 389...on 0.9.4 is ok.

No speedhacks,no frame skipping, just normal configuration.

Do you use Lilypad? If you do, check an option there about hiding mouse cursor...

Well, give a try to Lilypad. There's a specific option that maybe fix your problem. I'm almost certain this is not gsdx fault.

And Lilypad is much better than SSSPSX imo, btw

I don't know how but the problem got fixed .I just switch to Lilypad start the bios the switch back to SSSPSX and the problem was gone.

I'm not using Lilypad because I don't see what the difference between them.I use Lilypad on the exact same way as SSSPSX.I have Logitech Dual Action and I don't have any problems with any of those plugins(what SSSPSX don't have I have it from my gamepad drivers).

And the problem isn't that I want to hide the cursor but to be able to exit the game widow(I can't maximize the window if I can't...I don't play at full screen)
