A little help with Windows Vista 64 bits...

Vista x64 (64 bit)

just download "dx8vb.dll" put it inside system32 directory. i.e "C:\Windows\System32\"

1. However, instead of copying the files to c:\windows\system32, copy them to c:\windows\syswow64

2. Execute run and type cd c:\windows\syswow64 <enter> (assuming windows is on your C: drive, if not put the correct letter in.)

regsvr32 dx8vb.dll <enter> Click OK on the window that comes up saying dllregserver succeeded

exit <enter>

BVE should now work on Vista x64.

make sure you run it as admin, right click cmd.exe in programs menu "Run it as administrator" then try again..

Hi Rebel_X, I found 3 bugs in your plugin :
1 - You can't move the config window, that's quite annoying when you want to use other programs while the config window is running.
2 - When you close PCSX2 while the config window is open, PCSX2 closes but the config window keeps opened.
3 - This isn't really a bug. You've said that Twinpad.exe can't run by itself, it can run by itself when it is in PCSX2 root folder.

Thanx, for your support..
1 - The first issue, I did this because it's one of my bad habbits when programming Visual Basic, but I can change this easily, when I release the next version.
2 - TwinPad.exe is separate program from PCSX2 and TwinPad.dll. think of it as a tool to write and edit TwinPad.ini file.. (I thought of building the interface withing the plugin, but it's gonna take cosiderable time and effort at this time, so I intend to keep it like the way it is. as long as it's doing it's job)

3 - I know that, that's why I said when I first released it "NORMALLY wont open by itself) I just wanted to make it easier and to work under PCSX2 configuration window. that's it..

**EDIT: Leomero, thank you so much for your message, but I don't have Vista x64... *blink blink* I have Vista x32... so.. I don't have the syswow64 folder ;_; but that's okay, thanks for trying to help me!
You need to run CMD as administrator.
Start / Accessories / Right click on cmd and run as administrator
Then do your command line and all wil work fine.

Is there anyone who could post the twinpad.ini file, with all buttons set, and a screenshot af the control sittings.
As I am using wine windows emu on ubuntu 8.04 the gui keeps complaining about the 429 error, even though I have added all those files mentioned above.
If anyone knows of some dllfiles that all windows user have and i need, please tell me

thanks

Hi Lusht
could you upload the .ini file, and specify what plugin you are using?

I'm using SSSPSX PAD Pressure Mod.

There is no reason to upload the ini-file, because I've posted the content of it's in the previous post of mine. Those setting for the TwinPAD 0.1.0. Screenshot attached below the quote with the settings.

why are you not using the twinpad 0.7.0.?
Should i not be able to use your settings if I create a file named 'padwinkeyb.ini' with the text you have, and place it in the 'inis' folder?

Can you just try it? It's simple, just create ini-file and run PCSX2.

Brilliant. Worked perfectly for Windows 7 64 bit.

Rebel_X - This is definitely something worth publishing as a workaround for people running newer platforms with no capability to run older versions.
