I'm lucky to get to 15 fps.
Don't complain, your getting playble speeds, and most of us don't

You obviously don't know what you are talking about...
To be able to play playstation2 games you will need ps2 emulator, which is PCSX2. When you download it an install it you get all that you need (program ,plugins and couple of other stuff) except BIOS which you will need to dump from your own ps2.

Now if you need any additional help, please make your own thread in PCSX2 section.

ZeroGS works wonderfully on my Radeon9600, but, I have one problem: when pressing alt+enter to go fullscreen, I am greeted with a "failed to create dev, exiting" error message and Pcsx2 then quits. Anyone knows what could be the cause?

your video card works in the emulator. If you have a problem with a game, post in the pcsx2 section. Or if it is a problem with a plugin, post in the ps2 plugins section

piyush:
This site does not support piracy, it is illegal to distribute the BIOS. I am afraid to say you're getting a ban:

#1: Posting in completely the wrong topic (not that there is a right one to post BIOS requests in).
#2: Requesting illegal material, twice!
#3: Double posting, within two minutes requesting the afore meantionned illegal material.

Leaving your email address in posts is never the smartest thing to do, that account will be spammed to hell...oh well they can stay in the posts

fabiank22: Don't need to tell the admins or mods their jobs

I have a big problem with GSdx9 and ZeroGS
I'm using a Radeon 8500 video card.
GSdx9 reports that it should not work correctly. It's missing only 'Separate Alpha blend'.Everything else gets ^_^ (= OK?)
I tried PS 1.4,PS 1.1 and the bogus option, but all I get is an instant crash of the emulator
It should be able to run PS 1.4 fine.

Then,I tried ZeroGS and I get a passing Test, but when I start the emulator,I get this message:

Error opening GS Plugin

GS ERROR: Need at least vs2.0
I need at least Vertex Shader 2.0?

How can someone with a Radeon 9000 IGP that's much inferior to a Radeon 8500 manage to get this emu working?

Is there a working plugin that I can use with a R200 card? (Radeon 8500 or Radeon 9100)?

Even though the Radeon 8500 is faster than the Radeon 9000, the latter is based on the Radeon 9700, that means that it supports PS v2.0a and VS v2.0 while the Radeon 8500 doesn't. And both PS and VS have to be at least v2.0 to be supported by ZeroGS. That means that probably you could run ZeroGS on a FX5200 even though that's got to be the worst video card of all times.

I have a question though, having code rewritten to use PS 3.0 should improve rendering speed, as usually PS 3.0 code is smaller than PS 2.0 code but rendering speed isn't the main bottleneck in PCSX2 right? it's the CPU and co. right? That probably is the reason why FSAA doesn't impact framerate.

Lugaidster

ps3.0 introduces more registers, constants, texture units, and the recently popular vertex textures. In ZeroGS it doesn't make a difference whether the high level shading code is compiled in ps2.0 or ps3.0.

0.9.1 is less CPU intensive, so your graphics setup now matter.
