changing to directx 10 isnt always a complete system change, PCI Express boards have been around for a while now, so in essance all it is, is a graphics card and OS change, which in retrospect is a smaller change than the one for SSE2.

of course if your machine is crusty with AGP and a low end everything, you deserve a full upgrade

None of my friend has AGP, but there can be other problems. 8800 Ultra has a big cooler, for example on my motherboard it will blok my pci slot for modem.

8600GT is quiet good, and it only costs around 100-130$

then get an 8800GT if you want high performance but less space taken up, they are nice n small

At the moment, as I see it, It'd be nice to see a new version of GSdx9 which fixes the missing intros in FFXII PAL. Right now, I'm using 0.10.09 just to be able to watch the FMVs. It's still great and I don't want to push gabest or anything. Just my opinion on that case.

And maybe you could look at that bug I found in 0.11.0 (the save slot numbers are messed up) http://forums.ngemu.com/attachment.p...3&d=1196347128
Edit: This just happens when loading a game. Saving looks just fine.

And by the way, vista is not that bad if you have a decent machine with parts which have a good driver support. Well, and I don't have that much of a high-end pc either.

calm down people. gabest said he'll combine the dx9 and dx10 plugins. that way, we only need to make one download with one .dll. i wonder what the unofficial shader/post processing pack would look like on the dx10 plugin? would it utilize shader 4.0?

and just call it GSdx then, great idea!
then you can select the renderer in the settings:
- Do not render
- Software (float)
- Direct3D 9
- Direct3D 10

but are "Software" and "Do not render" still neccessary?
okay for development maybe.

Mmh... sorry if I overread it, but where does gabest said this? He already said multiple times, that he wants to update both plugins IIRC.

BTW, Gabest, are you still going to integrate frame skiping feature into your plugin? Just interesting .

You guys are acting like little kids in elementary school... if you guys really want to help then start looking for bugs/error/glitch/issues/etc. in games and post it here! Or better yet make a donation to show your thanks or whatever. Just stop posting non-useful comment or anything that isn't GSdx9 related and keep the thread clean...

Its not that crusty, agp x1950pro can run current gen games just fine. In fact its powerful enough that my cpu (3800 x2) is bottlenecking it in most games.

So dx10 is indeed a full system change for me - have to upgrade cpu, ram, videocard, and motherboard. Well, I had it planned for a while, I'm just waiting for a price drop on the decent hardware.

Nope, he didn't said this, just check the my second last post, I quotet, that Gabest want to update both not merge both of them...
And I totally agree to tuanming, stop whing and asking the same questions over and over.
And the frameskip question was also answered multiple times, that it is a lot of work and main intention is fixing bugs and increasing compatibility atm...

Well, I actually had the bad luck of posting this issue/problem Project Zero (aka: Fatal Frame) has (a nasty "UNKNOWN Vifcmd" thingie which prevents any progress ingame) right when the new plugin came out so, well, the poor thing/post got buried within the hype.

I'm still not sure whether the problem can be solved through the way the graphics plugin acts (as in, if it can skip/ignore the part where it crashes) or if it's a matter of waiting till the emu gets fixed... Project Zero looks so damn good on the comp... unlike my small, old and crappy 15" TV.

So yeah, back to Gsdx praising/talking. For example, I tested Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana and I'm having some graphical glitches with it (random colours, stripes here and there) but I get fullspeed most of the time and, heck, even the sound works like a charm.

I left "Enable NLOOP hack" ticked and I'm wondering if that could be causing some of the problems, the rest are the defaults for Gsdx9. My apologies for the long posts too...

In addition to my other post, I just wanna say that there still some glitches in FFXII. I've seen these ones with GSdx9 0.11.0 and pcsx2 0.94 but they also existed in other versions of GSdx9 as well.

Well, in all of the 5 pics floor is messed up and in pic number 5 there is also a misplaced shadow. Well, I don't know whether this is normal or not but I can't remember seeing so much misplaced shadows when I was playing FFXII on my ps2.

1)Stop repeating the same thing. Check this post. He said: " I will try to abstract the dx9/10 dependend things and unify the two plugins, but it won't be easy."
2)I don't whing. He said some time ago that he promise adding frame skiping feature in future. I'm jast asking if he STILL going to add fs in future, because now with GSdx10 he has more work to do => he has less free time.

It's not rare to see the first few polygons of the next frame rendered at the end of the previous frame, or half in the first other half in the second, alternating. It's not trivial to skip frames.

Looks like the same thing we see with vsync disabled when framarete is higher that screen refresh rate, right? Thats nothing ...
Anyway, thanks for answer.
