if you arent using MTGS try turning it on, there is a change i made regarding that, but with GSDX9 it doesnt handle it, but in MTGS mode PCSX2 takes control, so its worth a shot.

that is an old bug which use to be fixed by using pixel shader 1.4. you could try enabling the texture caching thing which requires pixel shader 2 or above, that brings the compatability close.

any option to select pixelshader 1.4 about the plugin or with a console command?

because i can only switch between 2.0 and 3.0

or using rivatuner with the option limit pixel shader, but changing this option will always need a restart...

nah... rivatuner doesn't work with forced pixelshaders... gonna cry

i'll play around with 3danalyze - hope this will work

EDIT: doesn't work - any chance to see kh clear and without errors on gsdx? the image quality is very sharp...

10-5 fixed the KH problem, but its alot slower then 10-4. Good progress so far though.

Hm, I can't find my kh disc now, have to do some "shopping" for it :P

There are games which render something and then reuse the alpha channel as a palette index, those may be slower because now it is handled. For example the ffx doesn't do such thing and runs as fast as 10-3, for me. (in 10-4 I forgot to remove vertices outside the clipped area, that's why was it rendering a bit more)

omg non-SSE2 build i'm gonna be testing that one later thx a lot

on a quick test running the bios I got a blackscreen but the emu seemed to load normally (even the FPS seemed the same as 0.9 non-SSE2 version)

if I select software renderer it shows picture and with no render it's same black screen but running faster according to FPS

Hello Gabest,

I am french, excuse me if you don't understand !!

Well, I tested the last GSDX9 10.5 with games :
config : pentium core duo2 2GHZ, 2gbMemory ram, geforce 8600GMS 512Mo.

R-type final : Awesome ! but crash often if option MGS and DS actived. FPS : 35 - 50 fps.
Bujingai : I don't see the logo taito and the dragon in the presentation. FPS good 22FPS.
Tekken 4 : Whoooo! the last version of GSDX is fast for this game. 22FPS
Hokuto no ken fighting and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core works but in software float : 8fps. (Hokuto no ken don't work with zeroGS drivers graphics missing). I like see with D3D option for more speed !!!!
Kingdom Hearts 2 works !!!! 35 - 55 FPS
Gradius V : 50 - 60FPS
Virtua Fighter Evolution bug often with MGS and DS actived.
Soulcalibur 2 is very low : 5 - 8 FPS (speedy with ZEROGS driver)
Devil kings is very low in the last 10.5. before more speed.
Odin sphere works, before black screen, now the game works. 25, 33FPS in game
Bloody Roar 4 : Good! 20-22FPS.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 presentation is good speed, but crash in game
contra shattered soldier : Good, 30fps
Mushihime Sama shoot 2D 8fps slow
Tekken 5 : I don't see the fighting. but good Speed 22-26fps

Good Work!

Here's just a pic to show you the FPS difference in Resident Evil 4 (due to being very GPU demanding) between 10-4 and 10-5.

As you see it's about twice as slow in 10-4 but if you check polygon count there's quite a difference here too so yea it's rendering more stuff. xD But since you don't see any difference in visual quality though, would it be possible to have settings that you can turn on and off to get an FPS boost? Much like the settings in the new ZeroGS plugins.

EDIT: Added some zerogs comparisions screens too, with low quality, AA4x, AA4x+BF, AA16x. Seems like ZeroGS polygon count is somewhere between.
