Virtua Fighter 4 [SCES 50759]

Using the beta of GSdx (though the current release does the same).

PCSX2 crashes when trying in-game, but here are some rather nice shots

Nope, it's not. I tried a couple DVD's (Jurassic Park III, Planet of The Apes, all of the LOTR movies). All of them.. the bios ran, and then nothing but a black screen.

err, remember this is a PS2 emulator, not a DVD player
AFAIK, there's no plan to include DVD playback capability, gamming, that's all there is to PCSX2, and it's already hard enough.

The SCPH-10,000 Has no DVD player coded within it, infact the 10,15,18K had no DVD player support, unless added from an upgrade stored from your memcard.

As for future BIOS's whilst they are emulated to an extent, I don't believe there will be DVD playback emulated, though I personally would argue for it as to make the emuation more 'accurate' but as they say, there are bigger fish to fry.

Cooliscool: Curiousity killed the cat, but if you must know PM me on IRC at some time, or something, I'm trying to put an end to this subject matter, though I'm powerless to do anything about it, this is offtopic, and should NOT be continued here.

i dont see the point in emulating dvd movie playback on a ps2 emulator, if your that desperite to watch a dvd on your pc download powerdvd demo or buy the full one or something, emulating a console should be for the purpose of emulating their main use, which in this case (and many others) playing games.

Just a quick question: Why are the FPS percentages out of 50 fps? Is that full speed rather than 60 fps?

50fps is for PAL (Europe)
60fps is for NTSC (American continent/Japan)

Maybe Gabest is from Europe
