No, not only Vista. I have WinXP and have same problems in ffx with pcsx 0.9.5vm (svn 235) and gsdx 11.1.
It's freezes after 20-50 sec. Maybe debug log's may help?
With gsdx 11 were is no freezes.

I tested Kuon and, apparently, got a 2-5 fps increase. Gotta test between previous Gsdx9 plugins and ZeroGS to confirm this.

Sadly, Project Zero still crashes at the same spot (though it also gained 2-5fps!) due to the Unknown Vifcmd:18 error. I assume this one is more a Pcsx2 problem than a Gsdx9 issue, though it still keeps crashing before ZerogGS (ergo, it doesn't display the video prior to the crash.)

edit: yep, from 15-20fps to 20-25/26 at the rope hallway (Project Zero, that part tends to go horribly slow) and Kuon finally surpassed the 25-30fps barrier (it was kinda locked at 20-25 ingame)

In the latest version of gsdx9 resident evil 4 crashes when you switch to the map or when a conversation between leon and that woman via phonecall begins.

I have one idea, it could be that moving alpha testing into the pixel shader is slower on some cards. Added an alternative version in the first post. Please check if there is a difference.

Thanks for getting rid of the corruption in MetalGear Solid 3( slus_213.59.1) in GSdx9 0.11.1. (using pcsx2 0.94)

Only thing though is the video has now started freezes after about 10second into any save state loaded. The game is still going though and you still move around can hear the audio of your character moving around or go into codec. No errors are reported in the output screen though.

I wonder if this is an isolated incident or if its happening to others.

Is this happening anywhere from the start to the first fight? Don't have a save, I usually test this part only.

It happens in a fight, not from beginning. If fight is over faster than 20-30 seconds it may not freeze, but in the next fight it may happend. Not all fight's you may end in 20sec limit
It also happens in game scenes.

i tried FFX with various pcsx2 builds: 0.9.4 public release, 0.9.5 revision 222,227,230,235
and both versions of GSdx9 0.11.1 and 0.11.1a freezes.
but not only in battles, i walked through luca a little and then it freezed at the entry of the stadium.

and i use XP, not vista
hardware info in my sig.

ah and here is a save for FFX, i hope one for your version is also included!

tried it and got same results

intro in ffx-2 was faster on the slow parts by almost 50% thou lol, well that same with the 11.1 and 11.1a :P

edit: 1st pic ffx right from savestate greatly reduced speed (99% cpu usage only in GSdx 11.1), 2nd pic ffx-2 intro great speed increase with 11.1, 3rd pic in battle speed increase with 11.1 both on 99%

basically ffx suffered decrease in speed except in battles (nvm that battles are slower too just not by much :P), ffx-2 was faster in some parts and slower in others (the rest of the intro was slower except for those 2 parts althou not by much)

11.1a didnt seem to make any difference for me

0.11.1 is faster than 11.1a for FFXII, 0.11.1a can be somewhere up to 50% or more slower in combat. Also it pause often in 11.1 for a few second every time in FFXII, ffx no pause/freeze. I'll test out the 0.9.5 beta and see if there's any changes. Full screen does not work on either version (GSdx9)...

Just want to report that it looks like raining in the crowd during matches in WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008, as there are lines displays in the crowd using both 0.11.1 and 0.11.1a. These lines are not there in 0.11. The power bar and body status on top of the screen have turn to white blocks.

Also there is still background texture problem in SD Gundam G Generation Spirts.

I'm running around in ffx (thanks for the save), but can hardly find a place where the cpu usage of the plugin would go over 90%. Which is the most gpu intensive place?

Or could it be that I use too much video memory and after a while it gets full and starts "swapping" out to system through "agp"? (dunno how it is with pci-x :P) How much video ram do you have?

The crash in RE4 was a rare case, but might happen in other games too. At last it's fixed now.
