Bizarre Metal gear solid 2 problem

Hello, I am trying to run Metal Gear solid 2 on PCSX2 0.9.4

I am currently having 2 problems, one is that whenever I start up the game I get one of those "program x has encountered a problem, send report?" windows error. I so far have been unable to track down the problem that causes that.
I can ignore that however as the game continues to run, despite the error.

The bizarre problem is that Some (not all, just some) of the text is in Italian! (I think it's Italian) There are two types of text, gray text and white text. The gray text is in English, however the white text is in Italian.

I have no idea what could be causing this, no where in any options is there a language selection other than in the PCSX2 opening, and that is set to English.
