Ocarina of Time weirdness
I've been playing Ocarina of Time on P64, and it works absolutely fine right up until the point where I get the Lens of Truth. When I started using the Lens, I found that instead of showing the normal world around the edge and what's really there in the circle in the middle, it shows the normal world in the middle and what's really there around the edge. As you can imagine, this makes navigating places like the Bottom of the Well quite tricky ![]() Any ideas as to why it happened and how to fix it? |

@heliomance unless your grapahics card is below the reccomended requirements, ocarina should be near perfect. only thing I can think of is that you should use jabo video 1.6 with out any of the advanced options ticked.

It is perfect, except for the weird Lens glitch. What you should normally see is a circle in the middle of the screen, and inside the circle you can see hidden platforms, can see through intangible walls, and so on. What I see is a circle in the middle of the screen and outside the circle I see hidden platforms, can see through intangible walls, and so on. Look:

wow strange, are you using jabo's plugin from version pj 1.6? the should be no issues regarding that. Like I said make sure advanced options are turned off in the plugin. have you tried another video plugin like rice?

try rice video 6.11 beta. get it here extract it into the plugins folder of your project 64 folder. also you need a BMGlib.dll file. get it here extract that into the project 64 folder not in the plugins folder. start up pj 64, go to settings menu and choose rice video as your plugin. click ok and start your game. see if that fixes the problem.

Rice plugin just screws with the graphics like crazy. Actually, I think I do need a better graphics plugin, as with Jabo's it displays some of the things in the start menu in black text. Also any time I have a quantity of something (Deku nuts, seeds, sticks, bombs, arrows, what have you) less than the maximum, it displays the number in black, making it hard to see. |

Your graphics card is below the minimum requirements for Jabo's D3D8 (the black text in the HUD display is a very common indicator of this). This glitch does not happen with a graphics card that is fully DX8 compliant. You may get better results with another plugin.

Well you're not me, are you. Just because you don't have a problem with the game doesn't mean no-one else does, and saying you don't have a problem isn't particularly helpful. Now be constructive or buzz off. Much thanks to those that have tried to help me! Which plugins work best with low-spec systems? |
