Increase Drawing Range?
I have been using PJ64 for a while now, and when I play i notice items not appearing until I am close to them, is there a way to make the distance they appear bigger? I use v 1.6 and Rice 6.1.1 beta 10. I do have other plugins for use with games that are glitchy with it though. Also, When I try to load a game state in full screen, it goes back to windowed. Any reasons? it did not use to do that. |

This has been discussed several times in the 1.7 beta forums. The authors of PJ64 have said themselves that there is really no way for them to do this, as these kind of things are ran by the hardware and game themselves. Because PJ64's main goal is to emulate the processor and other components properly, and for other reasons, this isn't going to happen. All in all, it is a limitation of the system they are working with, and there isn't anyway around it.

The latest official version is a beta, 6.1.1 beta 10 to be exact. It should work perfectly for you. If you know where the heck to put BMGLib.dll... My builds, which are unofficial, even tho Rice knows they exist, and he even helped me out with some problems with my build, are based on the 6.1.1 beta 10 source code. However, you need the MSVC2005 SP! runtimes for my builds. Which are easily enough to find on microsoft.com. If you are choosing a NON beta plugin, you are essentially downgrading to a lower plugin version. Its either that, or use the last official plugin, which is recommended (tho i am not stopping you in any way, from using my Rice Video builds), Since Rice last released the plugin as a beta, there is no way officially, to get him to change the plugin to a 6.1.2 non beta version. Unless he endorses my changes and makes my builds official. |
