Resident Evil 2
First off, I will say that I do own a Nintendo 64 and Resident Evil 2 for the N64. I have both the ROM for Resident Evil 2 and Project64 Version 1.6, with the Video Plugin set to Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6, the Audio plugin set to Jabo's Direct Sound 1.6, and the Controller plugin set to Jabo's Directimput7 1.6. However, when I go to start up Resident Evil 2, all I get is a black screen and nothing else. Most of my other ROM's (Harvest Moon, Goldeneye, etc) work fine. Alright, I've got the emulator working again, for the most part. The emulator never did play FMV's (but I never really cared about that), but whenever the game reaches a section with diolauge, all I get is this strange sound from the emulator and it freezes up. (like this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CVG60KoeLQc- skip until about 2:07 )Any solutions? Last edited by thechosen1; April 1st, 2007 at 02:09.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

The game has numerous problems to emulate and I suggest quit trying. You 'll never get perfect results. But if you insist I suggest to try this first: http://forums.ngemu.com/project-64/6...ter-quest.html go there and dl the file "audiofix3" Never tried it but I think RE2 works better with those... |

It is possible to emulate the game right... First of all, use Mupen64, with Jabo's RSP, and Azimer's HLE plugins. Secondly, use Glide64 Wonder ++ with the wrapper attached to this post (and ONLY this build, the official build will not work. This build has support for using HWFBE to write into the depth buffer, which is needed for perfect graphics with this game) Thirdly, modify the [Resident Evil II] section in Glide64.ini, and change fb_smart to equal 1 (eg. fb_smart=1). Finally, enable "hardware framebuffer emulation" in Glide64. Its imperative its enabled with you want to get a decent speed. And yes, it does work...And it should work on any video card this time, not just GeForce FX's and up..... Go here to get that unofficial wrapper build.....:Paper Mario Flickering Problem |

Place the guild64 plugins foulder files, in your plugins folder, Place you guild3x in your main project64 folder, Run the emulator and setup your setings Open your download in winrar WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files Sinse its your first post i think you may be new to it, Are you? |

You have downloaded project 64 or another emulator right? They were talking about the folders within that programs files and directories. Now I can't be sure *where* project 64 is on your HD but that's where the wrapper goes. So find where project64 is saved on your computer, then just reread the other instructions you've been given. |
