Zelda OOT graphic problem

When I start up the OOT rom I get several graphic problems such as:

Parts of Epona are missing.

Black box around Navi.

Here's my Emulator setup:

Project64 v1.5
Graphic plugin: Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5
Audio Plugin: Jabo's DirectSound 1.5
Input Plugin: Jabo's DirectImput7 1.5

Any help you can give me in order to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

what graphics card are you using?

Your video hardware and/or drivers do not support the required blend mode - your system does not meet the minimum requirements.
and also make sure none of the advanced settings are checked in the plugin config.

Using Project64 v1.6 with the direct3d8 plugin, and no advanced options I get this:

I find it odd to be a hardware problem, other plugins I have tried rendered Navi perfectly but leave the rest of the graphics in the gutter.

But regardless, if I'm reading this right I have a Matrox Millennium G450 graphics card. I’ve been meaning to upgrade it for a while now but I haven't had the money as of late.

From project 64 website:

Quote:
Recommended System Specification

This specification should allow you to play any compatible game with good speed, graphics, sound and control, subject to the limitations of the emulator. Note that this specification is still not sufficient for every option available, but with proper configuration you shouldn't have significant limitations.

* Intel Pentium 3 1.5Ghz or higher or AMD Athlon 1.5 GHz or higher
* 512MB RAM or more
* nVidia GeForce FX or later or ATI Radeon 9500 or later
* 1GB or more free hard drive space
* Creative Soundblaster Live! or higher
* Adaptoid and original Nintendo N64 controller for each player
* Microsoft Windows XP with latest updates.
Quote:
Realistic minimum video hardware for the v1.6 or later video plugin
nVidia GeForce3 or ATI Radeon 8500 or later. With good drivers they have the required features (pixel shaders v1.1 etc.) for the D3D8 plugin.

Better cards mainly allow higher resolutions, filtering, anti-aliasing and so on without substantially increasing emulation accuracy.

The following graphics chipsets (thus all graphics cards based on them) can be considered below minimum specification:

* 3dfx Voodoo 1,2,3 (1,2 - not at all, 3 - poor image quality)
* ATI Rage128, Rage Pro (poor image quality)
* Intel i740, i810 (poor image quality)
* Matrox G200, G400, G450 (poor image quality)
* nVidia Riva128 (poor image quality)
* S3 Savage 4, Savage 2000 (particularly bad, these cards hang)

You may find that Project64 usable on a lower-specification system than described here, particularly with some games and careful configurationm, and/or 3rd party plugins. If so then enjoy, but please don't expect too much, and we do not support below min. spec. systems sorry.
seems like your GFX card don't meet the minimum

The plugin won't load in any of the versions of PJ64 that I have.

You need to put the rice video plugins in your plugins directory, and unzip the attatched file into your main project 64 directory. Not sure why it's not bundled like that.

Off topic: Can anyone suggest me the BEST possible graphics plugin for this game?

Earlier, I posted a update to the wrapper on this forum, which fixes a vast amount of issues that the wrapper previously had..I remember working with ziggy to fix a crashing bug when switching from full-screen to windowed mode (which is the main source of instability), but also there's numerous emulation fixes (HWFBE is overhauled greatly, to run on low spec video cards)..

Maybe that can help with your stability issues?

I donated so I'm using the new version now of Jabo's plugin which is fine... however I did try your wrapper mudlord and I get various errors, if you'd like I can test later and report back with the exact error messages. One of them was something along the lines of "The graphics plugin has stopped working" and asked me if I wanted to restart it.
