Problem With Analog Stick On Contoller/Emulator

I have bought an adapter to plug my N64 controller in to the computer. I'm using the Project 64 emulator and Nrage plug in and whenever ever i play games and use the analog stick, it moves very slowly. Whats wrong and how do i fix it?

Thanks

you might need a driver or remote to control the acceleration and speed of the movement.
or you don't have enough RAM
