Load different controller settings per game?

I was just wondering if there are any controller plugins that will automatically load a specific controller setting based on the rom loaded. The reason that I am wondering is that the way that I currently have my controller set up is perfect for about 99% of my games except for shooters like PD and GE, and it would be great if there was a plugin that would automaticlly load a better configuration when loading the rom.
