ahah run it in full screen.. but before you do open up your task manager and kill any non needed processes like browsers or IMessengers or anti vrius software.. they are huge memory hogs. Especially since you don't have much ram this will help 110%. Set the resolution to 1024x768 32 which works fine for me.. Also defrag your hard drive- a fragnmented drive can also slow you down. But i bet you have some programs running in your background you don't need but you think you do. Take a screenshot of your taskmanager and post it so we can see.. but other than that make sure your in fullscreen. I can run in a window but if i don't kill some processes it will stutter, well i do have aa and af turned on.. but yah kill some processes.. also when pj64 is in a window and you are about to put it in full screen turn on task manager and up the priority to above normal. High or real time tend to mess up and slow you down.. Experiment yo.

Found the problem, one of my startup programs wasn't functioning correctly and hogging a very excessive amount of system resources. Strange the problem wasn't surfacing much in other things i tried. Found it strange my pc was a bit laggy at such a low process number.
