need help install pj 1.6

i dl the newest emu and i have roms but i can get it to play any games it says not a n64 rom but i t is how do i fix this so i can play

What game are you trying to run? Or maybe a bad dump.. dump them again.

Either you don't actually have a rom (a save file perhaps?) or it's compressed in a format PJ64 doesn't support.

you can use the keyboard. Check if you have the buttons configured.
