Resident Evil 2: Most Problematic
Currently I use 2 emulators (1964 and of course, project 64) and both of them so far have had no luck getting resident evil 2 to run without being comnpletely screwed. Not only that, I also can't get sound to work consistently. It sort of works, but whenever leon talks, or just anyone talking in a cutscene in general there's no sound going at all. At the moment I'm more concerned with getting video to work properly. I can't see the opening videos, and when I'm in game I get these really annoying artifacts along the left hand and bottom sides of the screen, as well as some weird overlapping thing on the right hand side. So far, as far as video plugins go, I've tried glN64 0.4.1, Jabo's direct3d8 1.6, and version 1.5.2 (oddly 1.5.2 works a little better) and so far nothing seems to work. Anyone know of a video plugin that works well for it? A sound plugin would be nice too, but I'm not too fussed. |

AFAIK this game has been problematic since "always" and you won't see opening movie, and any other movie because they are not in there, N64 cardridges are very limited with their capacity (max is like 32 MB or so...), and if you know RE2 for PSX and PC is on 2 CDs
