Allright, I am very annoyed. I am using the latest updates, etc. for Project 64. I tried using the NRage pluggin and enabled the mouse control for the dontrol stick. trouble is (if annyone understands this) NRage appears to recognize the mouse on a theoretical coordinate plain. It is only at rest when the mouse is on the origin. (If I move the mouse up then stop, the game recognizes that the mouse [analog stick] is in an up position and therefore continues moving up) Does anyone know a way to configure the pluggin so that when I stop moving the mouse, it registers as moving back to the origin? Is there some sort of kickback mode that simulates the analog stick recentering? also, is it possible to use joysticks with this pluggin? (didn't have time to look)

Try ticking/unticking the absolute x and absolute y checkboxes. And yes, you can use joysticks/gamepads.

I'm not sure exactly what the absolute x and y options do, but they don't do what I said I needed above. Is there a mod you can add to NRage that reverts the control stick to the origin when innactive? Is there another plugin that does that?

Take Turok for example. Configure the mouse as the analog stick, and make sure the absolute y box is unchecked. Pan the view up and stop. The view changes and then immediately centers itself (exactly the behavior you seem to want). Enable absolute y and when you change the view it stays until you move the mouse back. Which game are you having trouble with?

goldeneye, perfect dark, doom 64, just the fps. I only have trouble with the y axis though, (I haven't tried it unchecked ) so I think the settings you just mentioned are the ones I want. Thanks a lot!

all right, it seems to be working now but there is another problem: the game has a delay when registering the mouse. (sorry to be such a noob):newbie:
