Which Project64 version do you use? I'd recommend getting the latest one (v1.6), because it offers best compatibility and a whole lot of kick-ass plugins - Rice video is cool, but Jabo's D3D is better. It should also solve your Zelda and Banjo-Tooie problems. I'd, however recommend you using Azimer's HLE Audio plugin v0.55.1 and NRage's Input plugin v2 1.83 instead of the standard audio and input plugins. |

Is there a newer version? Anyway, check the ROM Properties of Zelda and see if the RDRAM setting shows 8MB and not 4MB. This should solve your expansion pak problem. Banjo-Tooie shouldn't be an issue, if you have the latest version of PJ64. Your ROM might be a bad dump.
