Wats wrong with Project64 1.6?


Wats wrong with Project64 1.6? i was playing Goldeneye with v1.5, and it was playing very good. then i found v1.6, i downloaded it, and was playing Goldeneye with it, and OH MY GOD! it was sooo messed up!

the setting are exactly the same with 1.5, and so is the ROM, but why did it play it weirder? wen u start playing the level, ther is alot of background missing, and was playing alot slower.

Can anyone explain?

The default plugin with 1.6 has higher requirements. Switch to the D3D6 1.52 plugin.

oh ok then. if i do change that, would the emulator play the ROM better because it is newer?

PJ64 1.6 has numerous bug fixes over the 1.5 release. The 1.52 plugin is an improved version of the default plugin that comes with PJ64 1.5+SP1.

It is included with PJ64 1.6.

oh right. i'll try it out. thanks.

Also, is it possible to set the FPS on the emu? besides using 'Limit FPS'??? i hate it wen it runs at 60FPS, kkinda spoils Goldeneye, as i know the game so well, the gun barrel bit at the start runs abit to fast to the original.

Anyone?

I dont think thats the faut of the frame rate
Ive never seen it do any different
