Zelda - Majora's Mask *Whats the best plugin to use?*

Every time I played this game and When I waited for the second DAY..the screen started turn black..I know it will come up with message said SECOND DAY so I can continue but still paused too long so I switch to Rice's Video Plugin 5.5.0 for the trick and finally Second Day came on and now I can continue but the graphic is terrible so I switch back to Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.1 and its better. I hate to switch back and forth. What is the best plugin for this ZELDA Majora's Mask ?

I use pj64 1.5 with Backup created by SP1 installer also. Help ? Thanks!

Orkin's Direct64 0.5 ALPHA is supposedly the best video plugin for Ocarina of Time, so give it a try on Majora's Mask.

I'm not sure but I think Direct64 requires a DX8 or DX9 capable video card. Try another plugin such as glN64.

Your video card is DirectX 7 class, not 8 or 9. It doesn't have any pixel shaders which are used with Direct64.

even though you have DX9 installed, your vid card wasnt meant to use it. so that is why it probably doesnt work. your card is DX7

I put DX9.0c on my mom's Sony PC with an onboard ATi 3D Rage chip that was only designed to support up to DX3 or so. Did installing it add pixel shaders or let me play Doom 3? Nope .

Also, update Rice's plugin. The latest version is 5.6.0.

You'll have to get a DX9 capable video card such as the nVidia geForce FX, geForce 6600/6800, ATi Radeon 9500/9600/9700/9800, or Radeon X300/X600/X800.

I forgot to mention that most of those cards require AGP. There's a PCI version of the FX 5200.

Stuck as in you can't use the Direct64 plugin unless you upgrade your card? If so, then yes. You can also try using Glide64 with a Glide wrapper such as Hacktarux's wrapper or eVoodoo, although I don't know how well that will work (you might get slowdowns or glitches).
