What's the best graphics plugin?

Just wondering, the new main competitors I see are gln64 and direct64...lol, are they made by the same guy? Anyhow, wondering which one is better and one?(better compatiblity, image quality, speed....) I have a radeon 9700 pro btw.

Hmm....make that the best one that will work for conker's bad fur day....for some reason gln64 and direct64 don't work no matter the settings.(direct64 will crash or do nothing, gln64 will heavily slow the system down) I'm using catalyst 4.5, but had problems with 4.4 too.

CBFD only works with Jabo's plugin, Rice's Video and Glide64. I suggest Jabo's plugin. Direct64 only supports this in later builds but is not working well yet.

No plugin can beat the image quality of Direct64 (still in alpha stages!) when it works properly with the game, comes form the same author as glN64() [Orkin]. I'm in the greets list in the about menu!

So orkin made 1 version of direct64 and it's already superior to gln64?
And how come direct64 isn't on his site?

BTW, do you have a link to the latest jabo plugin? The latest one I have is directx7. Thx.

it is the latest. I would suggest Jabo's plugin for best compatibility, but if you want some cool effects and other options try glide64 me. i liked it.

Wow, so jabo hasn't made anything in a while then?(is it a default plugin that comes with pj64?) Anyhow, for glide64, I guess I'll need a glide wrapper...and I got evoodoo, pretty cool to be using glide oncee again after all these years....wish I still had my voodoo3 around....except for the whole not working with winxp thing....actually I wish I had a voodoo5(6000!) for emulation.

Jabo's D3D6 1.5.1 is the latest released version that comes ith the service pack for PJ64 1.5. It probably has the best compatibility with games, although it won't look as good as some other plugins. Don't use the D3D7 1.40 version since it is slower and less compatible.

Direct64 is not on his site since it isn't fully finished (stable).

Let me guess - Failed to initiate HAL device? Blame your drivers if so, nVidia cards work fine. Works with 3.xx cats apparently, or set your desktop and Jabo config to 16-Bit colour and not 32-Bit.

CBFD has been supported by Jabo's for years, Glide64 added support with 0.7ME, and Rice about 1-2 months ago. Orkin added the microcode about a week ago.

Actually no, it starts to display the "adults only" message but then freezes as it zooms in.

And I always get the error "have not implemented RSP MF CP0 reg SP DRAM DMA address (1)"

and I think with direct64 I can often get some message about x86.

Also, the orkin sampling doesn't seem to work with any games I've tried, it always just displays a blank screen. And the HQ4x results in a lot of corrupted looking textures(maybe not enough vram?), sometimes slow down, and some time crashing.

Rice's plugin has extremely corrupted grahpics.
