Hope this is within rules....Did Zelda Master Quest come to PJ64?

I am not sure where I saw it, however I thought I saw a posting and some screens of the Zelda Extra's that were with GC's Zelda WW.

I am not looking for the rom or where to d/l it.

Has anyone else seen if it is indeed true or did I run into a fake blurb somewhere?

It was ripped from the GD-Rom. Nintendo oddly used emulation to put Master Quest on the GC. Kinda weird having it tell you to L-target in PJ64.

edit: did I say GD-Rom? Bleh. Too much Dreamcast on my mind. I meant the GC's Proprietary Mini-DVD.

Yeah, I've had this for a while too. Someone should release an IPS patch that converts OOT into MQ... I might get around to it in a few weeks if no one else does.

Err... how is that possible? The dungeons of MQ aren't even on the OoT Cartridge. The only thing that's in MQ that's not in OoT but on the OoT cart is the red ice pedestal in the ice cavern.

I'm waiting 'till summer to go through it. Basically, I'm getting all I can, because I'm not going to have internet access between late May and early October. I'm pretty much just buying games left and right, then waiting 'till I have nothing to do to go through them, heh heh. Master Quest is definatly on the top of my list to go through once I get to Wyoming. ^_^

The patch would be almost as large as the rom itself! :P

You can pretty much change any file into another with SnesTool's 'Create IPS' function which searches for differences between files and dumps them as an IPS patch.

All re-designed dungeons (some harder, some easier), 1 beta thing from oot present in the acutal game of MQ (the red ice pedestal in the ice cavern, it's in MQ and in Beta Quest of OoT).. also, they changed the design of the mirror shield from the crescent moon to some odd design, to keep from offending islamic religion (thanks Clements for this little tidbit.. ).

What I found cool/weird is how Jabu Jabu is full of cows stuck inside his body, as if being digested. I though he liked fish?

Master Quest was originally going to be a side-quest that was unlocked after you beat OoT, but that idea was scrapped. Don't confuse with this "ura-zelda" the much aniticpated but canned Zelda OoT add-on for the DD. They're two totally different things.

I found that besides the different layout, some of the enemies included in the dungeons have been tougher for the time I've been playing it. In Jabu-Jabu's Belly for example some of the bats were invisible so It was difficult to kill them since there was no way to view them at that point. Also, the Gold Skulltullas in the dungeons are generally harder to get or require you to have additional equipment/Scarecrow song etc. than in OoT.
