Zelda - Majoras mask problem after final day

When I play Majora's Mask, the game plays fine until after the final day is up and the moon crashes into the earth. When this happens, i end up and the beginning of the game with the happy mask salesman giving his spiel about majora's mask and how he can return me to my normal self if i can get it back for him. When he's done talking, I drop dead right in front of him and then come back to life just downstairs from him. My entire inventory is filled with ocarinas and my progress has not been saved (I had just beaten the woodfall temple and saved the deku princess). Thanks in advance for any help.

Peace and love, Barefootguy13

Re: Zelda - Majoras mask problem after final day

Simply don't let the moon crash to the Earth!

You can save by playing the Song of Time when you get the Ocarina.

The Ocarinas is due to some sort of copy protection Nintendo used with MM, but if you save with the Song of Time, it shouldn't happen. If it does, then make sure you have PJ64 1.5 (and service pack) and not the beta version or any earlier versions, and verify your rom with GoodN64, and don't use save states as they often corrupt and cause bugs.
