Has this thing happened to you?

Well.... this may sound like a bug report, sut you can take it as you want; I have 2 problems (one that I already solved, in case that it might help)

Here's my situation; I am using PJ64 with the latest release of gln64 (v0.4) son, here is the first problem, when I config it I need to set the bit depth to the same as the one in the desktop, if not, it pops up a message telling me that it cannot set pixel format properly; now, does not gln64 have the ability to switch bit depth?

second problem: well, after playing and playing I noticed that gln64 turns to be unusable, as it freezes after some time for no apparent reason (even lowering all config does not work) and the only way to solve thins is to press ctrl+alt+del and simply kill the task

here are my specs:

Geforce 4 MX 440 vid card
Crystal Soundfusion 4281 sound card
AMD athlonXP 1800+ processor
256 Mb of RAM

if there is someting you need me to add, just tell me and I'll post more info.

Re: Has this thing happened to you?

hmm its recommanded to set Texture cache size to at least 64, other than that your setting are fine, must be a driver issue or a emulator issue

Re: Has this thing happened to you?

It's probably a plugin issue as many other people are having it crash on them for no apparrent reason after some time of playing. The gln64 thread at emutalk has mentioned it several times from different people with different hardware.

Of course it hasn't crashed for me but I don't play N64 games that long.

Re: Has this thing happened to you?

There is a bug in the plugin, Someone on the other board found it, it's a simple typo that will cause it to crash after a while(it will crash sooner the lower the texture cache)
