is it a bug in neon genisis??

on mission 05, the one where u gotta press the C buttons at the right time and that yeh, why, when it trys and displays more than 1 button to press per C pad, does the buttons flash?

is it a problem in the game, a problem in the plugin (Jabo's D3D6 1.5.1, Jabo's D3D6 1.5 [not as good]), or are they buttons supposed to flash?

i need to kno because...its annoying, and i find the mission almost impossible to complete due to the ''bug''

Edit : if anyone else is having this problem and knows how to get rid of it, please tell me, or, how can i do the mission?
