Re: system crash
Let me get this straight - you are playing a game in Project64, you press {F12} to end emulation - it spits you back to the ROM selection window (where all the ROM names are listed), you select a new ROM to play, you double click on it, and Project64 gives you a Blue Screen of Death?
What does the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) say? If you have Windows XP set to auto restart when a BSOD occurs than change that option in the advanced settings control panel. IF the BSOD has your video card driver name written somewhere in it than you know that it is probably the graphics plugin you are using - try using a different plugin or updating your video card drivers. What ROMs have you tried this with (that caused the problem)? I don't think that your computer specs are the problem here - I have seen people with worse systems perfectly capable of playing (slowly) N64 games on their computers. Running without sound might also be worth trying. And does this happen when you use both Windowed and Fullscreen resoloutions? |
