Have you read the previous thread about this ? I'm sure you can find it easily.

Re: Yes I want to play too

You need 700MHz PIII or 800MHz Athlon minimum according to the manual. If below, the games will run really slow with the default plugins. Use 1964 or Nemu64 instead.

Re: Yes I want to play too

Not true. I had a 333Mhz P2 and 64 MB RAM with a TNT-2 video card and it ran quite a few games at like 40-70 fps. (no joke)

Re: Yes I want to play too

Technically all you need is a Pentium 133MHz MMX or something to actually run the program. The 700/800MHz is a just a guide line that "will be sufficient for you to enjoy most compatible games with good graphics, sound and control, subject to correct configuration and some limitations of the emulator. You are likely to suffer some performance problems, and you will not be able to use all the options in the emulator."

Re: Yes I want to play too

One thing to note is that different games have different 'system requirements' if you will. Mario 64 for instance is one of the least 'demanding' games (and will probably run just fine on your system), whilst a game like DK64 or Perfect Dark requires a modern system with a decent CPU and Graphics card for good performance (or the use of a fast Graphics plug like Glide74).

If you want a cheap upgrade that will get your system running N64-emulated games faster you should try upgrading your processor. N64 emulation is mainly procesor intensive for playable speeds.
