Roms

Before I ask, I want to make it clear that I am NOT asking for a rom. Technically, how are you supposed to obtain a rom besides downloading it off of the internet?

I think you need a rom dumping device. I think there is one called Doctor64? Developers use them all the time.

As Reich said, you need to have a flasher. Good luck buying/finding one (if anyone has a site or contact please tell BTW  ), last time I checked they were pretty hard to find. You might want to try eBay or maybe some accessory stores if you really want one.

Really, save time and money by just d/loading ROMs of games you legally own. It is still kinda immoral, but is really the only other way to do it because of the cart format.

You should be careful when talking about downloads. It brings you bad luck

Samor is right. He simply wants to make roms from his games, cause he cant download such big files.

I was looking on several different forums and found this... if you (or anyone else) are still interested in grabbing a ROM flasher go to

http://forums.cherryroms.com/viewforum.php?f=2

And before anyone says it, this website does not host or link to any illegal ROMs (by illegal I mean copyrighted), so Admin, don't kill the link please.

This links you to the part of their forum DEDICATED to ROM flashers and dumpers, the people on this forum seem to be very rude and b|tchy (unlike here of course ), so try being very polite and humble

Good Luck.

Copyright law lasts for 100 years (thanks to a certain mouse). Hence n64 games will be legal to download in, say 2097 or so. Only exception is of the ower makes it available themselves, and I haven't seen too many roms on nintendos web site.

Re: Roms

As of now they are illigal to distribute, sll those 'delete in 24 hours' warnings are utter B/S. If you download a ROM that you do not have the original game of you are breaking copyright laws, and if you provide ROMs (even to those who own orignal carts) you are breaking copyright laws. SO, anyone who is in possession of ROMs they did not flash themselves is (the way I see it, although I'm not exception here...) has been 'an accessory to crime' as they have gottn ROMs from an illigal source.

Of course this sort of thing isn't really enforcable at all...
