Robotron 64
I wonder if someone here could help me solve this problem with Robotron 64 in Project64. When I run it using the default plugins (eg. Jabo's 1.5 video and sound) then I get the game to run with sound and almost perfect graphics---but the humans on the map are shaded out, and the score is darkened and difficult to see. I tried out Glide64 0.41 and then I got perfect graphic emulation, the humans are drawn in and the score is as it should be... but no sound. I've tried Azimer's sound plugin to no effect, nothing comes out of the speakers. Any suggestions? Has anyone been able to get this game working with perfect sound and video on Project64? |

I don't have the game. BUT, you should still get sound with Glide64 being used. Try using Azimer's OLD (0.30) audio driver (xcomes with 1964.. I think, but am not sure), as it usually fixes such problems.

I have tried all the versions of Azimer I could find, as well as Zilmar's plugin and none of them seem to work with the latest Glide64. I think it might just simply be broken in its current version... I'll try it again when a newer plugin (whether it's Glide64 or audio) is released and just use Jabo's for the time being. Thanks for replying. |

Does Glide64 give you woes with any other games? What kind of Graphics card do you have (I assume it is Voodoo compatible)? If Glide64 is giving you trouble in general then you might want to try updating your video card drivers. For the newest (and best) drivers for Voodoo-based cards go to www.voodoofiles.com and do a search for 'Amigamerlin 2.5 SE' , those drivers might fix any problems that you have, and will definetely increase speed and compatibility (for D3D 8 at least)overall. Good Luck. |

In some games, yes... for example in 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' the graphics are completely messed up. But I think that's a known problem common to all systems, not just mine. Fortunately Jabo's plugins work just fine with that particular game. I'm running a 1700+ w/ 512 megs PC2100 on a GF4-Ti4200 ... since that's a GPU which is obviously not native to Glide, I'm using the 3.25 eVoodoo Glide wrapper. I've decided to just play Robotron 64 on Glide64 with the game sound off and just blast heavy metal tunes to compensate. |

![]() Conker's Bad Fur day is known to be unplayable with Glide64, and if you are using a Glide wrapper (like evoodoo) it probably accounts for most (if not all) of the errors that you are experiencing. I know that with Mario 64 on Glide64 wrapped by evoodoo with my GeForce 2 MX there are tons of problems with shadows for instance... Take Care. |
