small line flickering problem
hi guys, this problem is kinda crazy to be asked, cause the line flicker is barely noticable, i just want to know what causes this problem of mine, the games that caught my attention that shows this problem is zelda 64 and BOF4 (using PEOPs) i'm wondering if it has anything to do with refresh rates, I tried to adjust the refresh rate my monitor but the problem is still there, the game itself works flawlessly, but the flickering is kinda disturbing.

Hrrrm. In Zelda which plugins are you using (PEOPs is for PSX only, BTW) ? Try some different GFX plugs for the N64 emulator and see if that fixes things up. If it doesn't try running the game windowed and see what that does. Are you with DX8 or DX9? What is your video card? The refresh rate that DX8 uses is usually set by default to 60 hz (in DX8 only , I know that PEOPs is a soft plug, but try this anyways), run DXDIAG and you can manually change the refresh rate to something higher (if your monitor supports it )Give this a shot, and report back

PEOPs for BOF4 and Jabo for Zelda, the flickering happens even in window mode and i'm using DX9 (even does my VC doesnt support it) i also tried changing the refresh rate of my monitor but no luck.

In PJ64 does the flickering occur with the use of any other plug (try GLide64, TR64 OGL, and Daedalus)? Try posting a screen that captures the flicker line... otherwise I'm stumped. I guess you could always just use different plugs for these games... |

tnx felinusz, but i manage to fix the problem myself, i set the buffer display mode to double buffer instead of transfer memory, i dunno but it fixed my problem, and btw the flicker line cant be seen when captured.

>btw the flicker line cant be seen when captured. That, is has to be added to the list of mysterious and unexplicable things related to emulation. >tnx felinusz, but i manage to fix the problem myself np ![]() I am still wondering why it only occurs within those two games and not with any others... |
