ello anyone know if there is a setting , updated rom or plugin that sorts out the shadow problem in pilotwings 64?

Yup. Just use this pj64.cht and you'll get rid of that shadow by enabling the "fix shadow" in the cheat menu of PJ64.

what is the best plugin for Pilot Wings 64? The graphic is well, ermmm something like many slices of cakes...I use both Jabo D3D6 and D3D7.

Well, Jabo D3D6 1.5 works pretty well with pilotwings 64...(except the shadow offcourse but thanks to the guy who made up the hack above, the shadow dissappears... ) No slices and no cakes in my situation...
Maybe your graphic card is pretty old for today's requirements?
I use a GF2 MX 32 with detonators 2181.
Or maybe if you try to change the value of the texel alignment on the properties:screen tab? Something around 3 will maybe help...?
