!!!help with ocarina of time!!!

after i get the hookshot from dampe i go into the next room and walk in front of the blue block and play the song of time but the block does not disappear. any suggestions, is it a bad rom? the game has played nearly flawless so far but i am stuck in this little room. please help

i am using project 64
the graphics rederer says direct 3dHAL. my machine is pretty fast 1.7ghz p4
64mb nvidia geforce2
18gb hd
256mb ram

Make sure that you are right beside that block.

I think that Navi should change colour also.

THIS has NOTHING to do with a bad ROM or any problems with the emulator BTW, just keep trying and it will work for sure.

go to www.gamefaqs.com if you are stuck in the game or want another angle on how to get past this portion of the game.

It's probably just to make sure the game "recognizes" you actually want to progress in the game. I don't know.....
