Framerate

I have been plaiying Diddy Kong Racing a lot lately and decided to see what FPS it was running at.
I was suprised to see it is only doing about 30fps on my emulation rig.
Does any1 know what the framerate should be? Im guessing 60 fps as its the US version.

My pc spec is in my sig. Running at 960 x 720 on the Voodoo 5 pci.

The thing is that when im playing it, the sound is perfect and i it looks like its running perfect.
The same applies to Zelda OOT. It has a low framerate but seems to be running perfect.

I think the rule of thumb is that if it looks right it probably is right.

what did you use to test the framerates? Most N64 games don't run at 60 actual Fps.. Emulated FPS counters are different than actual FPS..

N64 games usually run at 20/30 true FPS. Only a few N64 games run at 60fps, like F-zero, according to needtoexplain, who posted in my thread.

Ok. I feel totally foolish now.
I had been using the glide 64 plugin fps counter and the speed % counter.
Project64 was giving me about 85% on Diddy Kong Racing at 960x720 with 4xFSAA.
This is very playable.
But i just had an incredible idea (oh the sarcasm) why not try 1964. HEHE actual speed % is now at 100% and sometimes higher.

Jeez i cant believe i posted without testing this.

Thanks for help anyways peeps
