Unhappy Ogre Battle 64

I'm trying to play this game but I'm encountering a lot of graphics erros. For example, during the first cutscene when there's people talking the characters are replaced with ugly black squares. Also, there sometimes appear thin black lines across the screen.

I'm using PJ64 with Jabo's Direct3D7 1.40 plugin. Are there any special settings that I should enable or disable to overcome these issues? Thanks!

There have been a lot of threads around about this, and from what I've read, just alot of questions, no answers. I do not believe there are any fixes for Ogre Battle 64.

I see. Thanks for the explanation. Man, I can't wait to play this game... I tried different graphics plugins, played around with the settings, yet nothing. Dammit!

Here's PJ64's forum, you'll be able to find everything anyone's been able to figure out on OB64. Just search for it. There hasn't been any fixes that I'm aware of though, unfortunately.

A friend of mine has also this problem with the black boxes around the characters. Maybe it's because of his very slow and old onBoard Grafic-card. I have a Geforce and this problem doesn't occur on my PC....

There are a few graphical problems that occur with older and/or onboard cards, but most of the more important features (backrounds for instance) can't be fixed right now.

You could always buy the game if you want to play it so bad.

Okay:

1: No idea what you're talking about

2: Why not give them a try to see

3: Doubt it.

I've traded my copy of ogre battle 64 until it can be emulated properly. So I can't try them on my own, which is why I ask obviously, otherwise I would've tried them myself.

If you don't know or doubt it, no need to reply. I still don't understand why you replied this in the first place???(don't take this as an insult, just wodering that's all). Was it to tell me of your doubts? If so, well, should you ever find out, feel free to tell me and other people who are eagerly waiting for further development on the visuals of this game.

The reason I reply is because I have as good knowlege as anyone on OB64 with pj64. I frequently check the PJ64 forums to check if there's a fix for broken games (espically OB64), or just to see what's up. You have no idea how many OB64 "how do I fix all the broken stuff, like the backround" stuff asked there. I reply because I would have seen some sort of fix post at the PJ64 forums.
